Profession Motivation
I have always been interested in computers, but my motive for wanting to go into this specific field is deeper than just simple interest. I personally have a strong desire to create, to work in a field that I will be truly happy in, and have the chance to work on something greater than myself. Regarding family, neither of my elder siblings made it through college, and one of them pretty much living day to day. Neither of them will be able to care for our parents effectively when that time comes.
Diving deeper into personal goals, I will sit for hours on end when I am creating something I am invested in. My patience for it is significant, frustration only coming from software malfunctions the few times they occur. I believe my greatest example can be found in the scene labeled as "To The Light". While the environment itself didn't take long to construct, the ship shown traveling through the tunnel was the culmination of four days straight of work and experimentation. I am willing to put forth the time needed to get something done, and will try even harder to get it done right. When I create models, I feel like I am making something that might outlast me, in turn giving me comfort and happiness.
As previously stated, my other motivation is my desire to make sure my family can be taken care of. While I know that the amount of income I can acquire from this field is by no means "rich," I will be able to help provide for my parents when they are no longer able to work. I will do whatever it takes to help them, and I believe that animation and 3D modeling is the best course of action.
